Please read this before you install

  • This is the beta version of Gameathon. Most things work well, but you may still find a bug now and then. If you do, please tell us.
  • You play with real money. You fund your wallet by bank transfer, and our team confirms deposits and withdrawals, so they can take a short while during the beta.
  • Only stake what you can afford to lose. Every match is decided by skill, and the better player wins.
  • The app works in Nigeria only, and you must be 18 or older to use it.
  • This app is not on the Google Play Store yet, so your phone will ask you to confirm the install. The steps below show you how.
How to install

Four steps. About two minutes.

Do this on the Android phone you want to play on.

Download the file

Tap Download for Android at the top of this page. If your browser warns that the file might be harmful, tap Download anyway.

Open it

When the download finishes, tap Open. You can also find the file named gameathon.apk in your Downloads folder.

Allow the install

Your phone will say it cannot install apps from this source. Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.

Install and open

Tap Install, wait a few seconds, then tap Open. Create your account and you are ready to play.

If Google Play Protect stops the install: tap More details, then Install anyway. This message shows for any app that is not yet on the Play Store.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Why is the app not on the Play Store?
Gameathon is in beta. Once our licence is in place, Gameathon will be available from the app stores in the normal way.
Is it safe to install?
Yes, as long as you download it from this page. Only install the file from gameathon.com.ng. Do not install a Gameathon file that someone sends you in a chat or from another website.
How do I get a newer version?
Most updates come through the app itself: when one is ready, the app shows you an Update button. For bigger updates, come back to this page, download again and install. The new version replaces the old one and you stay logged in. If your phone refuses to install it, remove the old app first and then install the new one.
The app says it is not available in my location.
Gameathon works in Nigeria only. If you are in Nigeria and still see this message, turn off any VPN and try again. If it continues, message us on WhatsApp.
How do I remove the app?
Press and hold the Gameathon icon on your phone, then tap Uninstall.
